If you still haven’t read “Ghagra“, then go read that and then come back to read this blog, because as promised at the end of that blog post, I came up with two more indo-western looks with my ghagra.
Now, I love wearing shirts tucked into my ghagra, so I have done just that, with two very different kind of shirts. But you could always wear a t-shirt or any top.
Crisp and White
What I have done here, is worn a white shirt, but to jazz it up, I added the mirror work coatie. Not wearing anything in the neck, so I don’t take away the focus off the coatie, I only wore a dainty pair of earrings. I couldn’t stop there, and added my usual stack of bangles.
Shirt- AND. Shoes- Qupid, Myntra.
I love mixing denim with Indian, so evidently, I had to tuck in my denim dress into my ghagra. Overloading on the accessories would take away the essence of the denim, and that is exactly what I wanted, which is why, I added the biggest of my golden necklaces, but wore only one bangle.
Dress- Marks&Spencers. Bangle- Shanu's, Chennai.
Like, I said, you don’t only have to wear a shirt or a choli or a kurta with your ghagra, if you want, you could also wear a crop top and maybe drape your dupatta for it to look like a half-saree, and if you want to keep it casual, just wear a basic t-shirt and your done!
Do tell me how you would style your ghagra.
Until next time…..STAY SASSY!
